Summary:
A small group braved the cold winter weather to gather during the crazy holiday season and discuss jewelry of the eighteenth century. Using portraits and extant pieces we looked at the characteristics of the jewelry and adornment being worn by women, and in some cases, by men as well. Some time was spent on the differences in the jewelry being worn by the varying social classes. This was definitely a topic that would benefit from additional discussions!
